Warsaw Philharmonic announces AUDITIONS for the post of

ORCHESTRAL TUTTI MUSICIAN – VIOLA TUTTI (FULL-TIME)

Auditions have been scheduled for: 28th AND 29th MAY 2024

Persons interested in the auditions ought to submit their applications and artistic bios to: The Warsaw Philharmonic Office, room 109, or by post to the following address: ul. Jasna 5, 00-950 Warszawa, Poland, by fax at (+48) 22 55 17 200, or by email to sekretariat@filharmonia.pl, not later than by 30th April 2024.

Orchestral experience (tutti viola performance) is advisable. The Philharmonic reserves the right to select the candidates who will be invited to the auditions. Candidates qualified for the auditions will receive individual invitations including details. The Philharmonic provides an accompanist (piano tuned at A4 / a' = 442 Hz).

PROGRAMME FOR AUDITIONS:

1st STAGE
• K. Stamitz Viola concerto No. 1 in D Major, Mov. I – with cadenza by Klengel
• Two orchestral parts from the list of the second stage (Committee will make a selection on the day of the auditions)

2nd STAGE
• J. S. Bach Two contrasting parts from the selected Cello Suite
or M. Reger Two contrasting parts from the selected Viola Suite
• Orchestral parts
