Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava invites applications for the position of
Concertmaster
The auditions will be held on 24th June 2024 at 10.00 AM
in SND new building on Pribinova 17, 819 01 Bratislava
Application deadline 13th June 2024
Start date 15th August 2024
Applicants are kindly requested to submit their applications including:
Brief professional CV
A copy of the highest attained degree certificate in Music
(minimum degree requirement is conservatory or – in case of schools outside Slovakia, a degree from a secondary school in a given speciality), or a certificate of current university studies in a given speciality
Personal data processing (GDPR) consent (a permit written in the application mail).

Audition repertoire:
• W. A. Mozart: one of the Concertos for violin and orch.: Nr. 3 (KV216), Nr. 4. (KV218), Nr. 5. (KV219) – 1. and 2. Movement with the cadenza
• the 1. Movement with cadenza from one of the following Concertos: L.van Beethoven, J. Brahms,P. I. Tchaikovski, A. Dvořák, J. Sibelius, F. M. Bartholdy (e minor)
• a composition of the candidate’s own choice
• orchestral excerpts / solo excerpts from the standard repertoire available at the following link: https://snd.sk/konkurzy-na-umelcov,
• sight reading.
If the candidates require a répétiteur provided by the SND free of charge, they are kindly asked
to send the request along with the application.
Candidates are also welcome to bring their own piano répétiteur at their own expenses.
We offer a starting salary from Euro 1,800 gross + artistic and personal bonuses + 1-week extra vacation.
