U.S. Navy Concert/Ceremonial Band Horn
The United States Navy Band is seeking a horn instrumentalist for an immediate opening in the Concert/Ceremonial Band. To be considered for an audition, candidates must first apply online. The open call audition will take place on Monday, November 9, 2026, in Washington, D.C.
Qualifications: Successful candidates for this vacancy will demonstrate superior musicality and versatility, outstanding technique, and advanced sight-reading ability.
Audition Timeline: Monday, October 26, 2026: All applications are due by 11:59 p.m. EDT. Monday, November 9, 2026: Live audition held at the Washington Navy Yard, Washington, D.C.

Benefits: Upon completion of basic training, members of the U.S. Navy Band are advanced to the paygrade of E-6 (Musician 1st Class) under a contract for permanent assignment to the U.S. Navy Band, Washington, D.C. The starting salary for new members of the U.S. Navy Band ranges from $83,076 - $91,500.
