German made Double Bass circa 1890-1900

Due to the loss of use of my right hand, I am reluctantly selling my beautiful Double Bass which I have owned for the past 40 years. It was bought from Tolek Schmeichel ( Peter's father) from Copenhagen where he was a pro musician and string instrument restorer. He told me the history of the bass at that time. I has the most unique tone and a light touch. Simply lovely. It underwent a total one year restoration with Sam Wells of Burnley who would be happy to give you a valuation. To put it simply, it is a wonderful bass and worthy of a good home for either a professional classic player or for the more contemporary jazz musician. it is just lovely
