I'm selling this large German viola from a private collection.
back and ribs made from poplar wood,
the scroll is a carved lion head.
back and wood are made from poplar.
good condition, there is a skillfully glued crack in the back that doesn't seem to affect the tone
the instrument was restored and set up recently (new bridge, soundpost and bass bar)
the instrument is probably around 200 years old and likely originates from Saxony or south Germany
