I'm selling my Heckel bassoon (serial no. 13427), bought new in 1990. It was my professional companion for two decades when I played principal bassoon at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari (Italy). After retiring, I continued to enjoy it in ensemble work and solo concerts. It has always been looked after with great care.
The instrument is in good playing condition: it seals properly, all notes speak, and it has been recently checked by a well-known Italian bassoon technician. It features a body lock, the original ivory bell ring, and tone holes with channels. This model does not include a high E key. The keywork is original silver, with a natural patina that would benefit from polishing (purely cosmetic). Included are two Heckel bocals (CC1 and CD0) and the original Heckel case.
The instrument is located in Cagliari, Sardinia. Anyone genuinely interested is welcome to come and try it in person.
