Signed in pencil Collin-Mézin in the sound post area
Model: Outline based on Guarneri
Front: Spruce, fairly regular medium grain
Back: Maple, two-piece fashion, regular fine grain narrowing slightly towards the flanks, regular strong curl.
Ribs: Maple, regular fine grain, regular strong curl.
Neck & Scroll: Maple, slightly irregular wide grain and strong curl. The chamfer is lined with black ink.
Recent luthier restoration includes new set of pegs and chin rest, oiling of neck, replacement of missing varnish on top rib and general setup including a new set of Larsen II Cannone Soloist strings.
This instrument is in excellent, near mint, playable condition.
