Early to mid 20th century instrument. No maker's mark - could be Parsons or top tier Premier. Reconditioned by Kenneth Webb.
Standard 2.5 octaves, G to C. Wide bars (1.5 inches), high carbon, polished British steel. Bars are heavy, giving an exceptionally loud, crystal clear projection with a magnificent, pure and incredibly long sustain that effortlessly cuts through a full symphonic texture. Note name stamps featured on both top and undersides of the bars.
Housed in its original, rugged dark vinyl wrapped road case designed to withstand touring.
This is a serious, heavyweight, performance-ready symphonic glockenspiel.
