Benenden School is seeking an outstanding musician and teacher to lead its bowed strings provision within a thriving Music Department.

This newly created role combines high-level violin teaching with ensemble coaching and musical leadership. You will teach pupils across a range of abilities, with particular focus on those working towards higher grades and diploma level, while also coaching chamber groups, supporting the Symphony Orchestra and contributing to the wider development of strings at Benenden.

You will be an accomplished performing musician with experience of teaching secondary-age pupils from early grades through to diploma level. You will bring strong knowledge of violin repertoire, chamber and orchestral music, together with the ability to inspire young musicians and work collaboratively with colleagues.

Music is central to life at Benenden, with more than two-thirds of pupils taking music lessons and access to outstanding facilities including a 650-seat concert hall, recital hall, recording studio and 25 teaching and practice rooms.
