Adelaide Symphony Orchestra

Orchestra Coordinator

(フルタイム, 恒久)
(65,000 - 75,000 AUD p/year)

The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra (ASO) is seeking a highly organised and proactive Orchestra Coordinator to support the day-to-day operation of our orchestra. Working closely with the Orchestra Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring rehearsals, performances, tours and musician activities run smoothly and efficiently.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced artistic environment and enjoys building strong relationships with musicians and colleagues. We are looking for someone who combines outstanding organisational skills, attention to detail and clear communication with the ability to build strong relationships and respond calmly to changing priorities.

The Orchestra Coordinator supports the effective operations of the orchestra, with the following top-line key responsibilities:

  • Build positive working relationships with musicians, section leaders and colleagues to ensure the smooth delivery of orchestral activities.
  • Attend and support rehearsals, performances and tours, assisting with on-stage and operational requirements as needed.
  • Coordinate the engagement of casual musicians, including contracting, travel, accommodation and associated administration.
  • Maintain accurate orchestra administration, including rostering information, player leave requests, attendance records, travel arrangements, and call counts.
  • Support audition processes.

Due to the nature of this position, a flexible roster will apply, involving both weekend and evening work. Ability to undertake touring/travel (mainly within SA, internationally as required) is a requirement of the position

If you’re passionate about orchestral music, enjoy working with people, and have a talent for coordinating artistic activities with precision and care, we’d love to hear from you! Join the ASO in a pivotal role supporting the musicians and operations that bring world class performances to life, both on stage and on tour.
