The George Enescu International Competition is an international platform for promoting future world-wide musicians, offering to the young prize winners the opportunity to perform in one of the largest classical music festivals in the world: the George Enescu International Festival, taking place in Bucharest, Romania.
The operating model of the Competition is inspired by the values in which George Enescu himself believed. It recognizes, encourages, and promotes young talents in classical music, just as the great Romanian musician did during his lifetime.
The 19th edition of the George Enescu International Competition, with its four sections: cello, violin, piano, and composition, will take place in Bucharest, Romania in September 2024.
