ORCHESTRA AUDITION
Second Clarinet with obligation to Es-Clarinet and Bass-Clarinet.
On Thursday the 8th and Friday 9th of January 2026 an audition is scheduled for a position in the Royal Danish Orchestra as second Clarinet with obligation to Es-Clarinet and Bass-Clarinet
The vacancies are to be filled as per 1st of March 2026 or according to agreement.
The audition repertoire: (Round 1,2,3)
1. 1: W.A. Mozart: Clarinet concert in A-major kv. 622, 1.mvt.
2: M. Ravel: Orchestra Excerpt: Bolero for Es-Clarinet
2. 1: C. Debussy: Premiere Rhapsody
2: Orchestra Excerpts for Es-Clarinet
3. Orchestra Excerpts for Clarinet, Es- and Bas-Clarinet.
All orchestral excerpts can be downloaded from week 46 at: https://kglteater.dk/kapelkonkurrence
Recruitment will take place under the Joint Agreement for the Royal Theatre on-extensive artistic staff and the Protocol to the mutual agreement of Kapelmusikere between the Royal Theatre and CO 10 and local agreements between the Royal Theatre and the Danish Musician’s Union.
The Royal Theatre reserves the right to hold the audition for only a limited number of invited applicants.
The first year of employment is on a trial basis and may be cancelled subject to one month's mutual notice.
For applicants outside the EU countries, it is a precondition that at the time of employment the applicant has arranged for work- and residence permit in Denmark.
All interested candidates, regardless of personal background, are encouraged to apply for the position.
Online applications with relevant career and employment information must be received by the Theatre no later than Tuesday day the 16th of December 2025.
