- Full violin shape, with swell back.
- Front of finest spruce, back, ribs & neck block from highly flamed quarter sawn maple. Scroll & pegbox from quarter sawn maple with handmade brass/steel machine heads.
- Fingerboard, tailpiece, top and bottom saddles from Sri Lankan ebony.
- Pirastro Evah Pirazzi strings.
- Deep red / conker brown varnish.
- C-extension fitted by Martyn Bailey in 2023, along with new bridge and overall health check.
- Owned from new and used as a student at RNCM and then as a freelance professional musician in Halle, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, BBC Philharmonic etc.
- Rich, even sound across all registers, well suited to both orchestral and solo playing.
- Available to try in / near Edinburgh
