Founded in 1882, The Royal College of Music (RCM) is a world leading music conservatoire with a prestigious history and contemporary outlook. Our excellence was recognised by the 2026 QS World University Rankings, in which we were ranked as the No. 1 institution in the UK and Europe, and second globally, for both Music and Performing Arts. The College has held global first and second positions in Performing Arts for five successive years, while Music is a new subject introduced to the rankings in 2024.

To cope with growing demand and our increasingly global perspective, the Royal College of Music is seeking to engage a Lecturer in Music Business to join its team of professionals. We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:

· You should be experienced in various areas concerning music business, such as copyright, royalties, contracting, budgeting

· You will be teaching, to an exceptionally high level of technical and musical proficiency, students at postgraduate level, so relevant teaching experience at this level is required

· You should have a global perspective of the current practices of music business

· You should understand the particular demands of the music business whilst striving to help each student reach the fullness of their own potential

This post is offered on a permanent, part-time basis and is available from 11 January 2027.
