3rd Competition "Note di Talento" The Soloist and the Orchestra

18 - 19 Aug, 2024

The competition, open to musicians of any nationality without age limits, is divided into 3 sections:
Section I - Piano
Section II - Strings (violin, viola, cello, double-bass)
Section III - Winds (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, saxophone)
Candidates from all 3 sections must send (by 18 July 2024) a video recording with piano or orchestral accompaniment of one or more movements of the Concerto chosen from the indicated list.
The winners, at least 3 for each section, will perform one or more movements of the chosen Concerto with the Symphony Orchestra “Duchi d’Acquaviva” on 18 and 19 August 2024 at the Theater of Atri as a Prize Concert.
The absolute winner of the Competition will be invited to the “Sibelius Society Italia” in Rome.

This competition appears to include an online round that charges over €35. musicalchairs is concerned that the fee for online judging must be commensurate with the value offered to applicants whether they are successful or unsuccessful. Please therefore study the guidelines for this competition carefully:

  • Is the Jury for the online round published and are they widely respected musicians?
  • Does each Jury member listen to the submissions in full?
  • Do applicants receive detailed and considered feedback about their complete performance/score from the Jury?
