Call for Scores – Resonating Body Composition Prize 2026 (Solo Flute)

The Resonating Body Festival invites composers worldwide to submit a short work for solo flute exploring the artistic and acoustic possibilities of resonance. Resonance may be understood physically, acoustically, spatially, or conceptually – through breath, body, vibration, or sound colour.
The piece should emphasize sound, resonance, and musical imagination rather than virtuosic difficulty and should be suitable for advanced amateur flutists.
Requirements
• Solo flute
• Maximum duration: 5 minutes
• One submission per composer
• Score (PDF)
Prize
The winning work will be performed at the Resonating Body Festival 2026 and published by Trubcher Editions. The composer will also be invited to give a short presentation about the piece during the festival (online or in person).
