International Piano Summer School

St Mary's Music School, based in Edinburgh, is hosting a comprehensive and broad ranging piano summer school programme aimed at talented pianists aged 13 to 17, who wish to expand their horizons and playing capability.
This intensive course includes expert tuition, individual coaching sessions, solo performances, practice and performance opportunities with a chamber music coach, workshops in Alexander Technique, mindfulness, and yoga. It is designed to give a holistic introduction to the musical, mental and physical skills needed to grow as a pianist and is suitable for those who aspire to study at conservatoire, university, and professional level as well as those who simply wish to hone their skills in an atmosphere which is fun, supportive, and encouraging.
The course will be directed by Helena Buckmayer and support by Anna Michels. The workshop coordinator is Philip Sharpe and Chamber Music Assistant is Richard Montgomery.
