ZA International Woodwind Competition

The ZA International Woodwind Competition invites talented saxophone, flute, oboe, clarinet, and bassoon players under the age of 26 from around the world to take part in this exciting international event. The competition features an online audition followed by three live rounds, culminating in a final round performed with the Free State Symphony Orchestra. With a first prize of R55 000 (approximately €2 900) and several additional awards, this is a unique opportunity for young artists. Hosted in Bloemfontein, a welcoming central South African city with a rich classical music heritage, we look forward to welcoming participants from across the globe.
