XIII Stockholm International Music Competition

Take part in Stockholm International Music Competition - SIMC XIII, an annual event in Sweden for children and adults who are passionate about classical music.

In 2026 SIMC takes place online only, from June 10 to 28.

✔️❗️Application deadline: May 20, 2026.

Since its launch in 2010, the competition has attracted over 3500 young musicians from more than 40 countries.

Jury consists of 50+ prominent musicians, professors and teachers from Sweden, the United States, Germany, Belgium, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Norway, Finland, Austria, Turkey and China.

Winners are awarded diplomas of different degrees, all participants receive certificates of participation in the competition. Special diplomas are also provided for teachers and accompanists.

The jury may also award cash prizes.

The total prize fund of the competition is Eur 4000.

This competition appears to include an online round that charges over €35. musicalchairs is concerned that the fee for online judging must be commensurate with the value offered to applicants whether they are successful or unsuccessful. Is the Jury for the online round published and are they widely respected musicians?
Does each Jury member listen to the submissions in full?
Do applicants receive detailed and considered feedback about their complete performance/score from the Jury?
