Sofia Symphonic Summit

Join us in Bulgaria's capital Sofia for a program dedicated to providing emerging composers and conductors the opportunity to workshop and premiere in concert with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra.

Accepted Conductors may participate in one of three categories:
1. Traditional repertoire only
2. Traditional and contemporary
3. Contemporary repertoire only

For the traditional repertoire, conductors will conduct one overture or one movement from works from this list, which we be conducted in concert:
Symphony No. 1 - Beethoven
Symphony No. 4 "Italian" - Mendelssohn
Overture to the Magic Flute - Mozart
Coriolan Overture - Beethoven

For the contemporary repertoire, each conductor will be assigned one or two pieces, each will be conducted in concert.

Conductors will receive a minimum of 70 minutes of podium time per piece, with the orchestra, with additional coaching off the podium.
