Teacher Education in Music

The Academy of Music and Drama trains and educates music teachers for high school and elementary school. Here, educations from many different artistic fields meet in one department. All teacher education programs are taught in Swedish.

For your studies you choose a musical genre for your main instrument and for ensemble playing: pop / rock, breadth of genres, improvisation or classical interpretation. The education collaborates with the teacher education programs in dance and drama. You can also participate in collaborative projects with other artistic educations at the Academy of Music and Drama. Norm critique and critical questions about gender and equality are part of the education.
