Manager - Education and Community

Queensland Symphony Orchestra is seeking a Manager - Education and Community to manage and produce QSO's education, community and outreach programs; entertaining, inspiring and educating in diverse communities across the state. The role builds strong networks with external stakeholders to maximise opportunities and impact and maintains strong relationships with all QSO departments.
Key responsibilities for this role are:
-Manage, produce and deliver QSO education and community activities, aligned with QSO's strategic objectives
-Engage with relevant external stakeholders to deliver activities, including schools, teachers, community music organisations, arts venues and organisations and guest artists and contributors.
-Produce planning and reporting requirements for education and community activities including artistic management and liaison, school liaison, relevant budget, forecast and planning documentation and systems, artist and venue agreements
Other responsibilities include:
-Develop a future plan for all education and community programs in 2026 and beyond in line with broader QSO strategies, targets and initiatives.
-Engage with schools and teachers to develop meaningful relationships and connections to QSO concerts and activities.
-Manage and produce QSO activities including workshops and tailored programs that provide development opportunities for instrumental music students and adults. Such opportunities include QSO Compose and the Young Instrumentalist Prize.
-Engage with regional stakeholders and venues around QSO touring and activities and explore ways to grow regional opportunities and funding including the development of regional ambassadors.
-Produce education programs locally and on regional tours, including establishing and managing internal relationships and sharing of information to ensure effective consultation around planning and scheduling activities and timeliness of delivery.
