Trustees

The Benedetti Foundation is seeking to appoint up to three new Trustees to strengthen the Board across three priority areas: fundraising and income generation; senior executive leadership with financial and organisational oversight; and music education. They will contribute at board level, working collaboratively to support the Foundation’s governance, sustainability and impact.

Prior non-executive experience would be advantageous; however, first-time Trustees are warmly encouraged to apply provided they understand the distinction between executive and non-executive responsibilities. Across all backgrounds, Trustees will share a belief in the transformative power of music education, bring sound judgement and integrity, and be collaborative, thoughtful contributors in the boardroom.
This role is unremunerated, and reasonable, pre-agreed travel expenses will be reimbursed.
The Board meets quarterly, with meetings typically held in person in London, reflecting the Foundation’s growing activity and networks there. Trustees also serve on at least one committee, which meets quarterly and is usually held online. In addition, Trustees may be invited to attend occasional in-person events or meetings connected to the Foundation’s programme and stakeholder engagement.
Trustees are appointed for an initial term of three years, with the possibility of renewal by mutual agreement.
