International Competition Astor Piazzolla®

An official global competition dedicated to the genius of Astor Piazzolla, created in collaboration with Daniel Villaflor Piazzolla, Astor’s grandson and President of Fundación Piazzolla. Join us in Italy, where the past and future of Piazzolla’s music meet, and where his legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.

Awards:
* For soloists and ensembles — three concerts in Italy or abroad, including performance fees, travel, and accommodation.

* For composers — sheet music publication by Edizioni Curci; professional studio recording and performance of the winning composition; and consideration for publication by Universal Edition.

Special Prizes:
Artistic collaborations with Musici del Teatro alla Scala, Zagreb Symphony Orchestra, and AYSO Orchestra and more.

Online Selection Round, with Semifinals and Finals held live.

Applications open until January 15, 2025.
Semifinalists announced on February 1, 2025.
Live competition: February 28 – March 1, 2025.
