Competition for composers

Nordic Piccolo Festival is commissioning a new piece for piccolo and piano for the next festival in Aalborg in 2027!
The piece that wins the competition will be world premiered during the festival in March 2027 of one of our internationally known artists.
It will be published by Edition Svitzer, and hopefully be a part of the standard repertoire for the piccolo flute!
The winner of the competition gets a 2.000 euro prize.
Details:
- Commit your application by the 1st of February to
Info@nordicpiccolofestival.com
- The piece has to be Nordic inspired, and written for piccolo flute and piano
- Maximum duration is 15 minutes
The application must contain:
- Your CV
- The first 30 bars of your piece, including a sound file and sheet music
- A description of your piece
* Neither age or nationality matters.
