Academy Dobrohoř

Intensive creative workshop in the field of 20th and 21st-century music for three flautists, three clarinettists, three pianists, and three composers who want to grow artistically, discover, collaborate, and push the boundaries of their interpretation or creation.

At the classicist Dobrohoř Castle—surrounded by silence, nature, and a focused atmosphere—young musicians from different countries meet with top-notch instructors who are among Europe’s most prominent performers and composers: flautist Monika Štreitová, clarinettist Anna Paulová, pianist Moritz Ernst, composers and pianists Kryštof Mařatka and Jan Dušek.

Performers work individually and together every day under the guidance of experienced lecturers, composers create directly “tailor-made” for specific instrument combinations, hear their compositions performed immediately and can consult and modify them with colleagues and lecturers throughout the entire period.
