CPI Tokyo 2026 with Markand Thakar

for advanced students and early career professionals
Ten Fellows will conduct the professional CPI orchestra under the supervision of renowned pedagogue Markand Thakar.
After our welcome dinner (included) the program begins with five days of intensive work on and off the podium, including 90 minutes conducting the ensembles, two daily technique sessions, music-making sessions, daily group conversations and video reviews.
Day 6 includes a dress rehearsal and performance: each Fellow conducts a full movement.
The program includes takes place in the facilities of the modern Hamarikyu Asahi Hall in the heart of the Ginza district.
Participants find plentiful lodging (airbnb and hotels) within walking/commuting distance.
Sessions are in English and Japanese.
