Tutti horn
The Oslo Philharmonic, under the leadership of Chief Conductor Klaus Mäkelä, invites highly qualified candidates to apply for the position of tutti horn. We are looking for a dedicated orchestral musician who is willing to invest in and actively contribute to our orchestra's inner life and its continued artistic development.
This position primarily plays low horn, but includes an obligation to play all horn parts except solo horn. We are searching for a flexible musician, with expert proficiency in both low and high registers.
Candidates who hold a relevant full time permanent position and/or are frequent and known substitutes in the horn section of Oslo Philharmonic are requested to apply with a CV and a letter of interest by August 10, 2025.
Candidates who do not currently hold a permanent position in a professional orchestra are requested to upload a video, CV and a letter of interest by August 10, 2025. The contents of the recording are specified in the "Video Requirements" section.
If you are unsure whether your experience warrants a direct invitation to the audition, it is strongly advised to provide a video.
Qualified candidates will be invited to the audition, no later than August 15, 2025.
The audition will take place in Oslo (Concert Hall) on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
Excerpts will be sent electronically to all invited candidates.
