Announces the following vacancy:

ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL TRUMPET

All candidates have the choice of playing a live preliminary audition in New York or sending a recording of your preliminary audition. The repertoire is the same for both options. You will be asked to indicate your preference between a live or recorded preliminary audition when submitting your application.

Due to the limited availability of David Geffen Hall, some applicants who wish to play a live preliminary audition may be asked to submit a recorded audition. If we cannot accommodate a live audition, we will notify you by Friday, December 19, 2025.

Application Deadline: Friday, December 5, 2025
Deadline to Submit Recorded Preliminary Audition: Monday, January 19, 2026
Live Preliminary Auditions: Monday, January 26 and Sunday, February 22, 2026
Semi-Final Auditions: Sunday, March 8, 2026
Final Auditions: Friday, March 13, 2026

Employment will commence by mutual agreement based upon the winning candidate’s availability and the New York Philharmonic schedule.

Base scale is $190,698 for the 52-week 2025-2026 season.
