A fine and responsive silver-mounted cello bow by Victor Thomassin, branded ‘T. Victor’.
A light yet powerful example, offering excellent control and quick articulation with a warm, focused tone. Particularly well-balanced and comfortable in the hand, making it suitable for both solo and orchestral playing.
The bow has recently undergone a careful and sympathetic refurbishment and remains in very good playing condition.
Victor Thomassin, son of Nicolas François Joseph Thomassin, trained in Mirecourt with C.N. Bazin before working in Paris and later London, where he produced bows in the English style such as this example.
A strong and reliable bow from a respected maker, increasingly sought after by professional players.
