Cello - Gand & Bernardel - 1867

I am offering for sale a magnificent Gand & Bernardel cello made in 1867.
The instrument has recently benefited from a new soundpost, a new bridge, and a complete professional setup.
It has a warm, powerful tone with excellent projection and a deep, resonant lower register.

The two-piece maple back features medium descending flames. The ribs are made of maple with matching flame to the back. The two-piece spruce top is crafted from wood with very regular medium grain. The scroll, chamfered in black, is carved from medium-flamed maple. The varnish is a rich reddish-brown laid over a golden-orange ground.
The cello is accompanied by:
* A certificate of authenticity issued by Serge Boyer.
* A cultural property export certificate.
The instrument can be viewed in Paris.
