The Royal Academy of Music is one of the world’s leading conservatoires. Based in central London adjacent to Regent’s Park, we have trained musicians to the highest professional standards since 1822 and we are firmly focused on developing tomorrow’s musical leaders in disciplines including classical, jazz, composition and musical theatre.

We are looking to appoint a part-time hourly-paid Lead Upper Strings Tutor to teach upper strings to small groups of 5 to 6 pupils within the context of the Junior Academy’s First String Experience (FSE) course, as well as participating in other duties such as concerts, as required by the FSE Director. Applicants can read about the FSE course on the Royal Academy of Music website.

The successful applicant will provide expertise in the area of violin/viola, integrated with musicianship teaching from the earliest stages of learning. The delivery of the programme will be supported by FSE Fellows.
