III International Lied Competition "Bolko von Hochberg"

The International Lied Competition "Bolko von Hochberg" is open to singers and pianists (duos) from the field of classical Art Song. Talented musicians have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and are provided with a unique platform to present their song repertoire to an expert jury (René Pape, Alexandrer Schmalcz, Ewa Biegas a.o.), receive prizes and opportunity of concerts. This Lied Competition is conceived as a German-Polish and European cooperation project and takes place every two years in Görlitz-Zgorzelec, in Germany. In 2026 the First Round will take place at the Kaufhaus Görlitz (May 30–June 1, 2026), with the semifinals (June 3) and finals (June 4, 2026) at Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra (Poland). The third edition is dedicated to "Spiritual and Folk Song." The repertoire list and the conditions of participation can be found on the competition website.
