Conducting Masterclass with Marco Angius

In collaboration with the Teatro Fraschini Foundation, AltreVoci Ensemble organized a masterclass in ensemble
conducting for conductors interested in the 20th and 21st century repertoire with Marco Angius.
The repertoire chosen for this edition focuses on Pierre Boulez’s Le Marteau sans maître, a milestone in the
ensemble repertoire of recent decades and a proving ground for all conductors and performers interested in
modern and contemporary repertoire. Works by Franco Donatoni and Ivan Fedele will also be the subject of the
masterclass.

The first three days will be structured as follows:
- Analysis of scores and concertation strategies (three hours).
- Rehearsals withAltreVoci Ensemble (five hours).
Formation
Altrevoci Ensemble: flute, clarinet, violin, viola, cello, piano, guitar, percussions, alto.
Also open to composers and performers as auditors.
