The position is a 20 percent fixed-term appointment as Professor II in Baroque Violin (primarily, though applications from Baroque cellists may also be considered) for a four-year term, with an expected start date of August 1, 2026.
The academic field of the position is Baroque Violin, or alternatively Baroque Cello, and historically informed performance.

Responsibility for the academy’s Baroque string instruments, in cooperation with the academy’s other string instructors, may also be part of the position.
The position may also include teaching in other subjects, depending on the institution’s needs and the qualifications of the appointed person (e.g., teaching in music history, elective courses in improvisation, etc.).
