Full-time Suzuki Violin Teacher

We are seeking a full-time Suzuki violin teacher to accommodate our growing and dynamic international community. The Hong Kong Suzuki Music Institute (HKSMI) was founded in 2015. We currently have 3 violin teachers and an international community of more than 40 students from pre-twinkles to Book 5. Our violin program in particular is expanding. We keep an active student performance schedule. Our language of instruction is English.

Duties:
Teaching weekly private & group classes up to 27 contract hours/week. Emphasis is on working with young beginners ages 4 and above.
36 teaching weeks spread between mid-August and the end of June.
Participation at concerts and special events/activities for students and faculty members.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Music degree or above.
All books up to & including Book 4 registered with SAA or other Suzuki Associations. 3 years Suzuki teaching experience.
English fluency in speaking, reading and writing. Special consideration for those with a second instrument.

Salary:
Commensurate with experience and training (starting from 37K USD/year).
