Chetham’s School of Music is seeking a Concerts Administrator to join the internationally renowned specialist music school located in city centre Manchester. Chetham’s is a magical place, home to the UK’s largest specialist music school, the oldest library in the English speaking world and a world-class concert venue all in the heart of Manchester.

The Job

• The role is part time, with standard baseline hours of 21 hours per week for 41 weeks per year (comprising of 36 weeks term-time, 5 weeks non-term-time), plus additional working hours, payable via timesheet, anticipated as:
– Increased hours up to full-time for 6 weeks during 6 x ‘Music Course’ / prep weeks in October, February and June/July)
– Plus 20 x Saturday shifts (c. 0830 – 1330 term-time only)

• Non-term-time working can be done with greater flexibility dependant on individual and business needs.
• This role supports the delivery of the students’ regular concerts, large rehearsals and performance opportunities.
• During term-time working hours should, in the majority, fall within a standard school working day (0830 – 1630), plus the regular Saturday morning shifts (20 Saturday mornings per year). However, flexibility to work outside of these hours is essential (including evenings and some unsociable hours – particularly during ‘Music Course’ weeks and other student performances as required).
• Start date: 1 September 2026 (subject to recruitment checks).
• Permanent role.

In return

• You will be paid £14,053.08 (FTE £26,817.65) – £15,242.16 (FTE £29,086.77) per annum, Scale Points 15 – 17.
