The choir subsequently evolved under the directorship of William Glendinning from 2011-2018, which saw the introduction of regular concert and evensong cycles, tours, and more prestigious recognition. Today, the choir is an auditioned ensemble of around 25 voices and has been conducted by Jack Apperley since September 2018. We are a very socially active society and are mainly made up of undergraduate students, with a few postgrads every year.
The choir regularly goes on tour abroad and in the UK, with past locations including Krakow, Riga, and Porto. This summer we will be singing in the cathedral at Santiago de Compostela. We released our debut album, ‘Perihelion’ in 2021, including works by Alec Roth and Jonathan Dove. We would encourage you to take a listen to some of our recordings and live evensong streams on our YouTube channel, linked below
