Selections for the European Youth Orchestra "Ferruccio Busoni"

13 Feb - 19 Jul, 2024

The year 2024 marks the first centenary since Ferruccio Busoni’s death (Empoli, 1866 – Berlin, 1924), considered one of the greatest pianists in history and a primary figure in the compositional, theoretical, and intellectual field. Ferruccio Busoni is also one of the first musicians without geographic boundaries, the first great performer to travel from the United States to Russia, and, above all, a European musician in the most modern sense of the term. The project of a European Youth Orchestra is a valuable training opportunity, an experience of ensemble music, addressed to young instrumentalists from the member states of the European Union.
The EYOFB sets itself the ambitious goal of creating a bridge between the academic and training world and professional activity: through the intensive work of internships and meetings with respected professionals and trainers it will prepared a program that will be run in Empoli on Friday, July 19, 2024.
