Introduction to Music Production (ages 12 - 17)

This week-long in-person short course will teach you how to make music using modern-day computer hardware and software, in any genre or style. Guided by a professional music producer, you will learn how to write, record and produce your own songs through an exciting and engaging series of practical classes.

Each day will focus on a different part of the music production process: you will start with songwriting, then arrangement, recording, programming and finish with mixing and mastering. You’ll learn how each of these elements fit together and complement each other and the different elements that are important to think about. By the end of the week, you will have at least one completed song to share online with everyone you know!

This course is open to anyone aged 12-17, whether or not you have had any musical experience or not. There will be plenty of opportunities to experiment with different sounds and styles.
