Jazz Piano Intensive | Juilliard Extension

This intensive will continue the practical, hands-on Jazz Piano instruction offered in the fall and spring, but in a highly concentrated form. Meeting three times a week for two weeks, participants will focus on the inner workings of a specific tune, exploring a wide range of stylistic possibilities. In particular, the course will explore the connections between rigorous harmonic analysis and the way it relates to the apparent spontaneity of improvisation.
