2nd solo trumpet player

We have an open position for a 2nd solo trumpet player (100% position)
The section of Copenhagen Phil consists of one Principal Trumpet, and two equal second solo trumpets with obligation to 1st, 2nd and 3rd trumpet.
The audition will take place on Wednesday, December 17th, 2025, from 10:00 AM in the Concert Hall at The Royal Danish Academy of Music, Rosenørns Allé 22, 1970 Frederiksberg C
REPERTOIRE
1st round:
J. Haydn: Trumpet Concerto in E-flat major, Hob.VIIe:1; 1. Mov until bar 117*
• G. Bizet: Carmen, number 9 until 9 bars after nr 11*
• H.C. Lumbye galop from "Livjægerne på Amager".*
*All to be played on Perinet Bb trumpet. Rotary trumpets are not allowed in the 1st round.
2nd round:
• A. Honegger: Intrada**
** To be played on C trumpet (both perinet and rotary trumpets are allowed in the 2nd round)
Final round:
Orchestral excerpts + possible excerpts with the section.
Shortly after the deadline, the jury will review all applicants and categorize them into three groups: direct invitation to the 1st round, invitation to the pre-round via video, or not invited.
Timeline:
• Application deadline: 2nd of November 2025
• 6th of November 2025: All applicants will be informed whether they are invited directly to the first round, must submit a video recording, or not invited.
• Video submission deadline: 20th of November 2025
• 26th of November: Candidates who have submitted a video will be informed whether they are invited to the first round or not.
Tuning 442 Hz
An accompanist will be available at the audition.
Salary and conditions of employments negotiable with current agreement for musicians in the Danish Regional Orchestras (‘Landsdels Orkestrene’). Employment of non-EU residents is contingent upon the attainment of a valid work and residence permit. Applicants are responsible for any costs associated with obtaining these permits.
