Imagined by the Orchestre National de Lille and Les Siècles, the Académie² offers talented young musicians aged 18 to 27 a unique immersion in the heart of two complementary symphonic worlds.
Over the course of a season, the academy members take part in a pedagogical and professionalizing journey—between modern instruments and period instruments.
On one side, the Orchestre National de Lille, conducted by Joshua Weilerstein, explores the great classical, romantic, and contemporary repertoires, performing in the Auditorium du Nouveau Siècle and on tour throughout France and abroad.
On the other, Les Siècles bring eras into dialogue by performing each work on the historical instruments it was originally written for.
