The Sarasota Orchestra Co-Principal Trumpet position is one of two core trumpet positions and functions more as an associate principal – fulfilling the duties of principal in their absence. This position plays parts as assigned which may include 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd parts due to concert type and repertoire. Co-Principal Trumpet, in conjunction with the Principal Trumpet, plays in the Sarasota Brass Quintet.
Employment to begin September 2026
* Benefits include, but aren’t limited to: health insurance (Sarasota Orchestra pays no less than 75% of premium), instrument insurance, short- and long- term disability, 403b retirement plan, and Flexible Spending Account.
The audition committee reserves the right to dismiss any candidate not meeting the highest professional standards. Musicians hired by Sarasota Orchestra are responsible for having and maintaining proper authorization to work in the United States.
