Offered for sale is a rare and high-quality violin bow from the esteemed workshop of W. E. Hill & Sons, internationally renowned for their masterful bow making.
The stick (No. 5) was crafted in the 1930s by Barners, one of Hill’s prominent pre-war bow makers. The frog and fittings (No. 7) were made post-war by Watson, a master of mountings during the 1950s–60s at Hill.
This bow represents a unique combination of craftsmanship from two of the most respected English bow makers of the 20th century. It is suitable both as a professional-grade playing bow and as a valuable collector’s item with documented provenance.
