Howarth XL Oboe d’amore

Howarth XL oboe d’amore - thumbplate, three silver crooks and third octave key. Blackwood with silver keys, it’s an absolutely stunning top of the range instrument, (one of the models redesigned by Jeremy Walsworth at Howarths). It plays like a dream. This instrument is fully maintained by Howarths australian dealer Richard Craig, including a recent service, and it is absolutely wonderful. I have done some wonderful concerts on it, I have literally zero complaints. Why am I selling it? I don’t use d’amore very often, so it’s been quite unplayed and after recent full service, the last project I planned fell through… I now play Loree oboes myself too; so it’s time.
If you want a reliable, sweet sounding, well in tune mellow instrument that’s been played in, (15 but with very low mileage) this is the one. A beautiful character, it’s the best d’amore I’ve ever played.
