Violin by: Carlo Fernando Landolfi Nella Contrada di Santo Margarita al Segnodella Sirena Mila

Stolen: 04 Sep 1995 - 20:30 - 22:30 - Stolen from the trunk of a car in vicinity of Herod Atticus Theatre, Athens Greece

Violin was in a Winter oblong case with dark brown exterior and light green interior, 4-bow holders, and humidity indicator in lid. Included were two violin bows by: (a) Eugene Sartory (gold-trimmed) - stamped "E. Sartory a Paris" and (b) W.E. Hill & Sons (silver-trimmed) - stamped "H&S." Violin bridge is stamped "Jacques Francais" The theft was reported as stolen property with Sintagma, Athens Police Dept. Case/Dockett #: B.S. 297 / 95 K. A. Y. 19227. Description of Instrument:
A violin with golden brown varnish. The top is 2 piece spruce of medium grain, the back is 2 piece maple, warm flames of even grain with matching ribs and scroll. Measurements: Body Length 356mm / Upper bout 166.5mm / Middle bout 112mm / Lower bout 202mm
