The College has held this world-leading place in Performing Arts for four successive years, while Music is a new subject introduced to the ranking in 2024.
Following the appointment of Audrey Hyland as Head of Vocal & Opera, The RCM is seeking to engage a distinguished Deputy Head of Vocal & Opera. The postholder will work alongside the Director of Opera and newly created Assistant Head of Vocal & Opera position to foster the highest standards of teaching and learning within the Faculty and the wider College. We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
• A widely recognised and respected performer with experience at the highest levels.
• A track record of success teaching voice at an undergraduate and postgraduate level.
• A global perspective and significant international contacts.
• An understanding of the particular demands of the music profession whilst striving to help each student reach the fullness of their own potential.
• Experience of working as part of a team, managing a busy administrative workload.
This post is offered on a permanent, part-time (0.7FTE) basis and is immediately available.
