2nd Zsófia Tallér Composer Competition - Film Music

The Zsófia Tallér International Contemporary Composers Competition, named after the late composer and professor, aims to support emerging composers.
This year's theme is film music, open to original compositions for a segment from Jaro Vojtek’s film "Children."
Entrants must be under 35 and submit a piece matching the film's length (up to 9 mins). Instrumentation includes woodwinds, brass, percussion, and strings. Special instruments or electronics are not allowed.
The winning piece will be performed by the Budafok Dohnányi Orchestra and recorded by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra in 2024.
The prize also includes 250,000 HUF.
Submissions are due by May 1, with winners announced by May 15.

The jury's decision is final.
