Chorus Master
(full-time)
We're looking for an inspiring chorus master to elevate our chorus through focused artistic vision and help our ensemble reach new heights.
The Göteborg Opera Chorus is made up of 42 professional singers, with additional members for specific productions. We maintain an exceptionally high standard, with a genuine enthusiasm for both vocal and dramatic excellence. This position offers a varied repertoire with six to eight opera productions per season, plus concerts and musicals.
Working closely with our chorus manager, you’ll shape the chorus’ artistic direction through musical leadership and strategic planning. Reporting to our Artistic Director of Opera, you’ll join the senior artistic leadership team. Your responsibilities include the chorus’ artistic quality and development, chorus preparation and rehearsal conducting, as well as both short and long-term chorus planning and scheduling. You’ll collaborate with experienced creative teams, project managers, senior management, and work closely with chorus representatives.
The position is a fixed-term full-time position, 3–5 years (renewable).
